Early life and education
Karasin was born and raised in Montreal, Quebec, and spent part of his childhood living in London, United Kingdom. He returned to Canada for secondary school and developed early interests in technology, creativity, and writing. As a teenager, he won a province-wide poetry competition and had a French poem published in Pour l'instant: 30e recueil intercollégial de poésie. He also worked as a tennis coach at Tennis 13 during 2021.
He is pursuing a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science at McGill University, with coursework in algorithms, operating systems, software design, DevOps, and artificial intelligence. Part of his studies is being completed in Madrid through an exchange program at IE University.
Career
Internships
Karasin has worked across data engineering, backend development, and full-stack roles:
- Meta, Data Engineer Intern (Menlo Park): worked on Facebook notifications, building Python and SQL pipelines that analyze hundreds of billions of daily push notifications, helping identify high performing notification types and tune ML models for delivery and personalization. Also developed Unidash and M360 dashboards used by product and engineering teams to monitor notification health for more than one and a half billion daily active users.
- CGI, Software Engineer Intern (Montreal): built and deployed a Django application with Docker, Redis, PostgreSQL, and REST APIs to automate JIRA migrations and reduce manual QA-to-PROD work.
- Multidev Technologies, Data Analyst Intern (Montreal): developed SQL-based KPI reports and optimized ERP workflows for internal teams.
- Ace Technology, Software Engineer Intern (Montreal): helped modernize Django-based customer and internal portals for business clients.
Startups and entrepreneurship
Karasin is the co-founder of Visibl, a platform that focuses on automation and intelligence layers that help businesses become discoverable and understandable to AI systems. The project analyzes how a business is represented across AI-driven surfaces and works toward suggesting and automating improvements.
Visibl is often described as an AI brand manager for businesses. It focuses on how companies look from the point of view of AI systems, keeping a consistent, machine-readable understanding of the business and surfacing changes that improve how it is interpreted and recommended.
He has also taken part in startup and AI-focused events and hackathons, often working on rapid prototypes and unconventional interfaces.
Visibl
Visibl is an AI-focused platform co-founded by Karasin that aims to help businesses understand and improve how they are represented to AI systems. It emphasizes automation, infrastructure, and tools that make it easier for businesses to be legible to modern AI models and discovery surfaces.

Other projects
Karasin maintains several technical and personal projects, many of which are published on his GitHub.
- Vira - AI-powered digital secretary - an assistant with a modular backend enabling booking, email actions, and API-driven workflows across services such as Uber Eats, Gmail, and Twilio.
- Stock earnings predictor - an AI model trained on financial and earnings data to predict earnings surprises and inform trading strategies on prediction markets such as Polymarket.
- Customer management systems - Django and PostgreSQL applications for contract and timesheet management, deployed for real-world business use and later open-sourced.
- Various backend utilities, scrapers, pipelines, and experimental AI interfaces published on GitHub.
Interests and philosophy
Karasin's interests include data and backend systems, large-scale infrastructure, and AI-driven products. He values fast execution and learning by building, often turning small curiosities into working tools and interfaces. He is particularly drawn to nontraditional interfaces and likes using websites as a way to experiment with interaction design.
Public presence
Karasin maintains a modest public presence but is active on professional and technical platforms where he occasionally shares thoughts on engineering, AI, and building projects from scratch.
